Please pray

Bela's nurse just called. The hemotologist wants a meeting with the family at 1:30p ttoday. We are praying for Bela's case to dumbfound the Dr.'s  Please pray that she continues to tolerate her breastmilk feedings.

We are so thankful to our Long Beach church family for bringing meals these past 3 weeks and for the 24 hour prayer chain they set up this past weekend.
To add some more info from the past month, Bela's abdominal xrays and ultrasounds have all come back very good.

I am reminded that God tells us to "Ask, seek, knock, and it will be given to you." Please ask with us in prayer for the health of Bela.

As Bela's feeds increase the need for her nutrional IV decreases. Hopefully today she will be taken off that IV and be only on the antibiotic for a few more days. She really needs what's called a PICC line, a more permanent IV that goes through a vein and close to her heart for long term meds/treatment that's not painful and lasts longer. we are hoping she won't need it but if she does her platelets need to increase. It's a catch 22 with her.
Her blood and urine cultrues came back negative.

When she started feeding again she only got 15ccs every 3 hours, now she is up to 65ccs every three hours and will increase bit by bit till she can tolerate 70ccs. Then they'll see when I can breastfeed again.

At one point her tests showed positive for Rubella and she was put in her own isolated room where the nurses had to wear masks and gowns everytime they went in, but that didn't last very long when a second test showed she was negative for it. Now she has a different cubicle in a wing she shares with 5 others. She is still in the wing of "growing babies" that don't have too serious of complications.

We are so thankful to all of those who are praying and especially God who has brought us this far.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter!
I'm so sorry to hear of Bela's health difficulties. We will be lifting her up in prayer; asking for God's healing hand to touch her little body. Also praying for you and your family as you support each other.
    Hugs to you all!
