Lot's of smiles!

Bela is doing better. Yesterday she had a bit of a setback when her belly started to grow again and she had a fever, so they took her off of feeds...again.
 Her MRI came back negative.
She had a CT scan at 1am this morning so they gave her Ativan beforehand so she would stay still without having to sedate her, and she slept from that point until around 11 this morning!!! sweet! 7 hours of sleep at the hospital for me is unheard of!
She was better today. Still a low grade fever but the CT also came back negative, just a lot of fluids so they started her on Lasix again.
She was super happy and content all day. She had to get another platelet transfusion but her other blood numbers are starting to steadily climb and her liver was a lot smaller today when the dr. checked her belly by hand.
They put her back on oxygen but the tubes rarely stay anywhere but on TOP of her nose and she still stays at 100% and her heart rate stays good. It had gotten fast again yesterday so they put her back on it and took some chest x-rays and an EKG, but those also came back negative. She just has to get over this hump of infections, viruses, and antibiotics, her numbers need to get to a healthy level and then she'll have her liver biopsy and bone marrow biopsy.  The B.M. biopsy is to check for traces of Leukemia and make sure she is healthy enough to start the next round of chemo. Please pray today for these things:

1. Blood counts to go up
2. Liver and abdomen to continue to shrink
3. Infections to cease so she can go off antibiotics and go back on feeds
4. Her breathing to continue normally so she can go off oxygen
Having fun! We are selling this "moto" if you're interested!

"I can't put my arms down!" (name that movie!) She had to wear these "no-no's" so she won't pull her nose tubes out...again!

"hhhiiii"

Oh my gosh! Did you ever meet a happier patient?

She gives the funniest looks to the nurses sometimes. We were cracking up last night. She follows them with her eyes and watches every move they make. Her nurse today said her facial expressions are a lot older than she is.

Sleeping soundly

My little rebel. Take that, cancer!

just hangin out

My favorite overall so far.

One of our favorite ladies, Daphna, surprised us today and got to hold Bela for  about an hour. Bela gave a lot of smiles but they are so quick that they are hard to capture sometimes.
