I´m back in Honduras and it was nice to get back to my house today. There is a thunderstorm going on outside right now. The weather´s actually not as hot or humid as I expected. The first flight I didn´t have too much trouble or waiting, less than any other time. I slept ok but those airplane seats are anything but comfortable, especially on TACA, AKA ¨Take A Chance Airlines¨. Once I landed for my only stop in San Salvador I thought I would miss my connecting flight because the info said it would leave at 7-40am and I arrived at just about that time. Luckily with the daylight savings, i was about an hour ëarly¨. I slept with my mouth open on the 30 min. plane ride to Teguc. Of course the last leg of the trip, getting my bags and going through security one last time (insanity), I had to wait about 20 minutes for my bags.
Beto was there waiting for me!!! What a very happy reunion. It was fun to unpack my bags full of fun stuff I bought in the states and gifts for Beto, Amber, and my students. Now I need to go finish unpacking and rest up for my day back to work tomorrow.
Thanks to all ya´ll reading who visiting with me, hung out with me, talked with me, prayed for and with me, encouraged me, bought paintings of Beto´s (he´s extemely appreciative), laughed with me, etc. Thanks to my wonderful family whom I wouldn´t ever trade for anything!!! Not even It´s A Grind! oh, and that reminds me, Thanks Aunt Romy for buying us all farewell I.A.G drinks. You should buy stock in that company!
Blessings to all!
There is something wonderful, no matter how great the trip, to returning home!
