Round two in the history books

Rockin out with the music therapist.  Bela loves music.

It's weird that in a way, we're glad for this poison!  It's killing the cancer.

A newborn sized dress? Shirt? Either way, she only wore it long enough to take this picture.  We called it her tube top. She didn't appreciate being laughed at.

We love Shannon too! Bela completed both plans 100%.

They let us being in our old bassinett that even my mother slept in as a baby and traveled between here and  Illinois when my sisters were babies.

Our cupcake!

Thanks to Dorothea for these cute booties she made!
Bela finished her second round of chemo yesterday! Now we just wait for her counts to go down to zero (no immunity!) and then slowly climb back up.  The doctor yesterday said they are very hopeful that this time, as opposed to the first round, her counts will go back up faster and she won't get as sick.  She's been doing so well so far, still breastfeeding when I can and holding down her fluids.  Her abdomen hasn't become distended and her liver and spleen are staying small enough.

  1. LOVE all the pictures and all her cute outfits! So cool that they let you bring in the family bassinet. I am praying for her that her counts will level out in record time this go around. Love you guys!

  2. I've missed the last few updates so was surprised she has already finished chemo this round! Will there be a possibility she will not have to have any more after this round? I would love to hear that.
I also love all her very adorable pictures, and seeing everyone loving on Bela!! She obviously has a fan club and some very attentive and loving nurses!
Even though we don't check in as much we are still praying for her, and nightly at dinner too.

    1. thanks Amy! probably no chance that she will be able to stop chemo. it's lke antibiotics...you have to finish up the course even though you feel better and the infection is probably gone. but she's doing better this time so far so hopefully she'll be home sooner than expected! she WILL be at LAGUNA tearin it up!
