Family Day Out

I HATE this part! Beto's first time and he almost choked Santi!
Yesterday we, along with my mom, Shelby, Glenda and Charles, all went to Knott's Berry Farm. We all have year passes and we got in an hour earlier than the public.  We had a great time. Santi's favorite ride is the Log Ride. He went four times! It wasn't crowded at all in the morning.  WE had lunch at the chicken house and went on the log ride once more after lunch, then we were all tired and it was getting crowded. the nice thing about passes is we can go back next week another morning and never really have to wait in any lines.
Beto and I met our Team in Training team mates Saturday morning at 7am.  What a great group of people!  I ran with our mentor who's a Leukemia survivor. Turns out he's next door neighbors with some lifelong friends of ours right here in Long Beach!  The team is very encouraging. Another lymphoma survivor shared with us his story and then we ran 30 minutes.  Beto finished first along with two others.  His new nickname, given by our coach, is Speedy.
After the run we had a chiropractic clinic to teach us about stretching which was very good.

AFter that we met up with the fam at Knott's.  I didn't get over to see Bela at all yesterday and Beto spent the night last night. It's very weird to go a whole day without seeing your 3 month old daughter.  She finishes her second round of chemo tomorrow. beto said when he walked in last night she just kind of stared at him and then got this huge smile on her face! She'd missed him since he'd not been to see her in a week because of a cold.  She did well though. THanks again for the prayers!
