YOU ARE INVITED!!!
Click on the above link to prepay tickets for our fundraising event.
It's going to be Saturday night December 8 at 7pm at the Long Beach Church of Christ at 3707 Atlantic Ave.
Beto and I are training for a half marathon which takes place on January 20, 2013 with Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
This will be our biggest fundraising effort!
Please plan to come and bring as many people/friends/family members/spouses/lovers/exes/enemies as possible! The goal is to find a cure for this bloody cancer ( no pun intended).
There will be a silent auction with such items as salon gift certificates, Tea House gift certificates, baby bedding, and an hour private airplane ride over southern California, and much more!
There will be entertainment, food, fun, Leukemia survivors, and more!!! All in honor of our daughter Bela and friend Diane, both battling Leukemia right now.
What do you mean it wasn't decaf?! |

Bela: LIVE and Unplugged
Bela is doing well. When I came in today she was sitting up in her therapy chair, playing. I didn't notice until I took her out that she wasn't hooked up to anything!!! What a wonderful feeling! We still can't leave the room yet but she really enjoys looking out the window and standing in the doorway to "people watch." We are just waiting for her blood counts to tank and then go back up so she can start her third round of chemo. That will probably be another few weeks. She is very happy, but she gets very angry when put on her belly. ONe of the nurses today mentioned how she needs to learn to self-soothe so that when we bring her home we're not having to hold her every second of the day, which is what she's used to right now. If we're not there we hear later about how many grandparent volunteers and nurses hold her if she starts to cry. I don't know, i think i'll be so happy when she gets home I won't want to put her down anyways!!! Sorry for not updating and for no pictures. It's been "one of those" weeks.
Thank you so much for all of your continuous prayers! Keep it up please. We still are praying for protection over her heart since the chemo drugs can cause longterm damage, and praying that she "sails" through the next two chemos kind of like she did this second time.
